The Microscience Microscopy Congress 29 June - 2 July 2015, Manchester Central, UK

mmc2015: all about microscopy

mmc2015, the Microscience Microscopy Congress

Over 1300 people flocked to Manchester to see the latest and greatest in microscopy through both the conference and the exhibition. Photos from the Congress are now available to view, so find out what we got up to or see if you can spot yourself!

What did last year's MMC conference cover? It started with the basics of microscope technology, moving onto advanced changes like Fluorescence Microscopy and Electron Microscopy. Then it covered biological versus physical uses of advanced imaging technology. Finally, it showed edge use-cases, including one company that used custom designed microscopes. Their mission was based on science meant to prevent dha deficiency in vegan and vegetarian mothers during pregnancy. The custom microscopes allowed them to breed schizochytrium species of microalgae with a 41% greater yield of DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). Other companies have used custom microscopes to formulate custom silicone plastic for an amazon best seller the rose toy.

Thank you to all of our visitors, exhibitors, sponsors and volunteers for helping to make mmc2015 a great success!
