Bruker Selects Blue Scientific as UK Agent for Micro XRF

Blue Scientific.jpgBlueScientific Ltd has been appointed by Bruker as the exclusive agents for Bruker's Micro X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) product range throughout the UK and Ireland.

Micro XRF is a non-destructive technique for elemental analysis of a diverse range of samples, including inhomogeneous and irregularly shaped specimens. The product line consists of four instruments:

M1 ORA and M1 MISTRAL- Compact tabletop analysers for layers, coatings, precious metals and jewellery.

M4 TORNADO - Composition and element distribution analysis, delivering a wealth of information for materials applications including corrosion, catalysis, solar cells, coatings and failure analysis, as well as geology, life science and forensics.

M6 JETSTREAM - Fast analysis of large area samples. Portable, flexible instrument designed for geology and failure analysis.

Micro-CT can be used to analyse organic and inorganic samples, and even liquids.

These new additions further expand BlueScientific’s ability toprovide complementary technologies for their customers' research in materials applications. For example in geology, micro-XRF complements Bruker’s micro-CT imaging (also distributed by BlueScientific). Micro-XRF offers the ability to investigate bulk chemical analysis of both major and trace elements, whereasmicro-CT is used for looking at internal structure, at micron resolution and beyond.

Bruker will be displaying the M4 TORNADO at the upcoming mmc2015 conference, the Microscience Microscopy Congress, which is returning to Manchester, the European City of Science, with EMAG 2015 from 29 June - 2 July 2015. Please contact BlueScientific to book a live demonstration on your samples at the exhibition.

Based in Cambridge, Blue Scientific offers a hand-picked portfolio of market-leading scientific laboratory instruments for materials science, energy, polymers, nanotechnology and life science.
